Well, Apple clearly expressed a desire for jailbreaking to be an offence prosecutable under DMCA (a quick bunch of links as always on ) - now, why would they desire that, hm?...
(also Apple claimed, and court in Psystar case affirmed, that OSX has intentional technical measures to prevent hackintosh practices)
