{snip}... but I'm not even sure which C# bindings I should use in those environments.
Oh gosh. C#... Really?
I'm sorry. You have just told me what your coding style is and your selection of using C# is a horrible thing.
*YES* I know C# is the wave of the future. I've heard that from everything Microsoft over and over again.
Good luck when Microsoft decides to stop "ignoring" Mono on non-native Operating Systems. Yes, I realize they have a covenant... but its a decision. How many times has Microsoft become an "Indian giver".
Its just a matter of time until they overturn their decision to "not sue"... WTF is that anyway.
Dealing with Microsoft Technology on any front is a dance with the Devil on any terms, including on Windows.

Perhaps I might. But you have to consider the difference between Gnome 3 and LXDE for example. But I haven't used Gnome 3 or XFCE or LXDE very much. So perhaps someone here could tell me if there are any differences worth considering when creating a custom tailored GUI?
Maybe on Linux I will be able to create a Qt interface and a GTK interface and by that cover most popular DEs. E17 and Blackbox/Fluxbox will require their own interfaces though but I'm not even sure which C# bindings I should use in those environments.
