A controversy surrounding Lycoris (which got acquired by Mandriva) is brewing. Apparently, Rus Bayne, ex-vice president of sales at Lycoris, is trying to start up a new distribution-- but allegedly "ripping off" Lycoris along the way. You're right, it does smack quite a bit of CherryOS. There are some differences of course, but this guy's actions and how he answers questions are almost exactly the same way the CherryOS devs were handling the questions, and we all know what happened there.
Somebody should make a list of people like this so that everybody knows to keep clear of them.
