Windows If you ever needed any proof it's anything but roses ans sunshine over at Microsoft's Windows Phone division, it's this. The next version of Windows Phone, WP8, will run on the NT kernel, which marks a pretty substantial departure from the current release. This raises the question: will current handsets be upgradeable to WP8? First, Microsoft indicated no. Then they said yes (interview retracted). And now, they're saying no again.

Except, by most reports, the Lumia 900 is selling very well...

Same as with the 800, eh? Except now the guidance from Nokia says that the Lumia line only sold 2 million units and that is part of why their earnings will be negative this quarter.

It is strange to see so many anti-WP7 articles on the web lately considering that with the launch of the Lumia 900, WP7 is finally gaining awareness with the average consumer.

Click trollers will use anything that has a buzz to it to get page hits. The increased awareness is part of what makes it work for them.
