Hardware, Embedded Systems "When Tudor Brown stepped down as president of ARM Holdings earlier this month, he left behind one of Britain's and indeed the world's, most successful technology companies." Thanks for a fantastic architecture. The technology world would be poorer for it without ARM.

ARM is good!

We used to use the Archimedes at school, is certainly had an impressive amount of CPU grunt... But was let down by its odd (personal opinion) operating system and poor graphics/audio performance... The comparable Amiga was stronger in the graphics/audio areas and despite the weaker CPU, was able to do much more exciting software ;)

I also preferred the Amiga operating system, despite using RiscOS first... In fact for a whole year before AmigaOS.

I had a Risc PC 700 for awhile and it was really neat. But, yeah, I never cared much for riscos. It was... Odd. Even back in its day.
