PDAs, Cellphones, Wireless "Nokia is set to market their first Windows Phone 8 hardware differently, according to a report by the Financial Times. The manufacturer will be entering into partnerships with a handful of EU carriers to exclusively launch their next generation Windows Phone. The newspaper states the company has already entered into talks with a number of operators including France Telecom." Not to be a spoilsport or anything, but doesn't carrier exclusivity kind of rely on people actually, you know, desperately wanting a certain device? It's like Nokia's executives live in this fairytale land where people are actually buying Lumias and plan their actions accordingly. It's uncanny.

First of all, calling me an idiot is out of line and gets you nowhere.

Second of all, I never said power users never will or have to go to the cli in Linux, I said most _regular_ desktop users will never have to touch the cli, if they are using a distribution like Ubuntu and use it for what it is intended.

But hey, if you aren't even gonna bother reading my posts (you just "skim" through them, remember?), why are we having this discussion?

I'm done, thanks for playing.

I didn't call you an idiot, I said if you believe that you are an idiot.

I didn't say power users, you said it any OS would cause problems with those that are less tech savvy.

I said supporting an OS that is more difficult when problems have to be fixed via the CLI.

Anyway, it not my fault you can't think critically, I guess that is why you are on support in the first place.

Wow, stop with the damn insults.

I build, sell and provide service and support for custom desktop computers and peripherals, aswell as off-the-shelf machines and peripherals.

The company I work for is a fully licensed servicepartner of both Acer and Apple and small-servicepartner of Asus. I personally do service on Acer and Asus machines, both warranty repairs and regular service. On Acer machines I am fully qualified to do any kind of service, replacing any part on any machine, just as an example. Asus only has one fully licensed servicepartner in Sweden, but they have a few more small-service partners, and we are one of them and I do the work allowed by those rules.

I build and sell custom servers with accompanying clients and other peripherals and install them and provide service and support for them.

I also do programming work whenever we get a contract for that. Right now I am one of two people who are creating administration platforms, databases and accompanying webshops for two record companies.

I am not claiming to be a rocket scientist or even an elite developer, but I _am_ a software developer and licensed service technician among other things and I'm not _just_ a support guy.

If you are gonna insult me, please get your facts straight first.

What about you? You seem to have no problem dissing other people, so what do you do for a living then?
