Regarding your tune files unaccessible, this is not a problem as long as you don't want to copy them, back them up or move them to a different drive. You'll argue that you shouldn't copy copyrighted material, but this is neither the real life, nor what the users want. They don't want to lose functionality.

You of course search stored data about your data.
In this case things like ID3 tags.
