I use to swear by K-Lite too but if you are on Win 7 try Windows 7 Codec pack by Cole Williams. Takes care of 32 bit and 64 bit, takes care of everything, no muss no fuss and even lets me burn videos with AC3 audio in Win 7 DVD maker which was a PITB before, really great and hassle free.
