No, what you bought (in the case of Windows), is the license key and the physical medium it was delivered on (if applicable). The software itself comes free-of-charge. If you disagree then you can take it up with Microsoft's legal team -- the ones that wrote their software licensing agreements.
Please, by all means, cite the Supreme Court ruling you say exists that says when you buy Windows, you are also buying any free software that comes bundled with it. That would also mean you purchased all the non-Microsoft drivers that come with it too. Basically what you've said says when you buy a Windows license, and since you don't own any of the software itself, you've also bought literally thousands of licenses to use free software.

The Supreme Court did issue that ruling and I do by the way have a law degree.
