Linux It's sad that we need this, but alas - Matthew Garret has made a list of Linux distributions that boot on Windows 8 PCs with Secure Boot enabled. Tellingly enough, the list is short. Very short. Can someone hack this nonsense into oblivion please?

Every Windows 8-logo non-ARM device has to be able to disable secure boot feature, but enabled by default.

However every Windows 8-logo ARM-device has this enabled by default and does not have an off switch.

So basically you are saying: do not buy a Windows RT device.

We'll have to see how long that policy remains the way it is.
