Apple "Never mind the fact that the iPod turned the entire music industry on its head. Never mind the fact that most successful notebooks today resemble designs first popularized by Apple. Never mind the fact that the blueprint of the modern day smartphone remains the original iPhone. Never mind the fact that competitors are scrambling wildly to copy the success and design of the iPad. Forget all of these things, because when it comes to Apple, the 'what have you done for me lately?' mentality reigns supreme."

iPhone 5 16GB Unlocked: $649 USD

Samsung Phones on Amazon (same feature set as the iPhone above): $685-769 USD

This just confirms what I said.

Really? Your link only lists the most expensive sellers, whereas e.g. http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galaxy-GT-I9300-Factory-Unlocked/dp/B... sells Samsung Galaxy S III for $576, unlocked, brand new.

EDIT: Thought to add that in general a Galaxy S III and an iPhone 5 sell for similar prices and your linking to this or that specific item to try to somehow "prove" that iPhone 5 is cheaper is just silly. There's always going to be price differences and fluctuations between the various resellers and whatnot, but the average price is more-or-less the same. I could go and search for the one reseller that sells a Galaxy S III for some ridiculously cheap price and then "prove" that iPhones are OMGZOMFG expensive, but then I'd just lower myself at your level.
