Windows Microsoft has announced the launch date of the Surface Pro, as well as widened availability of the Surface RT. The Surface Pro will launch in the US and Canada only, 9 February, for a starting price of $899. Surface RT's market availability, in the meantime, will expand to Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland, also 9 February. Considering I was planning on ordering one from Germany, they're just in time so I can order from The Netherlands.

"Thanks, but no thanks. I've lost interest.

Squirrel!

I guess I'm not the only one. Why, Microsoft, why another Zune attempt?

I love it how the people who complain the loudest about Zune ... have never even used a Zune. Zune was a far better device that the iPod. It just lacked the crapware lock-in reach of iTunes.

That's nice when you are Sandisk or Cowon but when you are a billion dollar company we at least expect an ipod. And the ipod never beat Sandisk or Cowon when it came to functionality so why not the Zune?
