Lots of interesting insights in this blog post - I may not agree with everything Ubuntu does, but at least it's doing something.

This is much more low level than any of their other projects.


Who cares? It doesn't matter. It either works out or not and if it doesn't it's only Canonical's loss.
If it works out we get an improved graphics stack.
I really don't see why people are bitching about this.

It would be the same graphic stack without Xorg legacy nonsense.
