Windows "Windows is indeed slower than other operating systems in many scenarios, and the gap is worsening." That's one way to start an insider explanation of why Windows' performance isn't up to snuff. Written by someone who actually contributes code to the Windows NT kernel, the comment on Hacker News, later deleted but reposted with permission on Marc Bevand's blog, paints a very dreary picture of the state of Windows development. The root issue? Think of how Linux is developed, and you'll know the answer.

The thing is that it wasn't funny, it isn't cute, nor witty ... calling it humour is a stretch at best.

Also these little digs at my competence, it making me wonder whether you are projecting your own doubts in your ability because I tend not to agree with you.

I don't know, given how your favorite argumentative approach seems to tell those who disagree with you how little they know about "Software Engineering." And how the slightest push of your leg from my part, managed to get your panties in such a twist. I gotta say, the bit about "projecting" a certain lack of security, made the lack of self awareness that more hilarious.

Alas, all good things must come to an end. So have a wonderful day...

tylerdurden,

"I don't know, given how your favorite argumentative approach seems to tell those who disagree with you how little they know about 'Software Engineering.'"

Are you referring to this by any chance? Yea that was lousy. Note the voting patterns in that thread, there's clearly a windows fanboy somewhere using duplicate voting accounts. There's no way I can expect this post not be be downvoted ;)
