LANguard Network Security Scanner will scan computers for known vulnerabilities and common misconfigurations and other potential security issues. It produces reports that can be used to assist in the tracking and mitigation of security issues that have been identified.
These gauys make a great product, but I’d really like to see it run on Linux.
Sounds just like Nessus on linux, or a ton of other utilities that Linux has.
don’t forget nmap. i think it’s the best.
nmap is a port scanner with stack ident and other features. LANguard is more of a vuln scanner. LANguard has a free trial. i’ve used it several times. interesting program.
there are a ton of other vuln scanners. Nessus, EEye makes one (Retina?), ISS makes one, etc.
