While it wasn’t a very important link in the story about the iPhone 4’s antenna issue, we did link to an article over at Boy Genius Report which supposedly contained emails coming from Steve Jobs. Apple has told Fortune and Engadget that these emails are, in fact, not from Steve Jobs. Apple claims they’re fake. Also, on a funnier note, I’m assuming all of you have already seen last night’s brand new Futurama episode in which they make some serious fun of Apple, Google, the iPhone, and its fans?
If you haven’t seen it yet, be sure that you do. Mirrors, people, mirrors!
By the way – some claim the entire episode is about Apple (and that Mom is Steve Jobs) but any careful viewer will notice that Mom in fact represents both Apple and Google.

I think one of the best parodies ive seen of apple is from the Simpsons where a new “Mapple” store is opened, it’s really good from comic book guy doing the 1984 commercial to the line that always has me cracking up.

Anybody who actually believes that any so-called e-mail by Steve Jobs is valid, needs to get his/her head examined.
People post false news all the time on the web.
Yes. They are all fake. That’s why only this specific exchange is being denied by Apple, after more than a year of various emails being posted online, without so much as a peep from Cupertino.
Makes total sense. The truth is out there!

(0) Apple get too large piece of the OS X market (or rather it’s too small in the first place) themselves rendering third-party developers not focusing on the platform single handily since there’s no profit or chance for them.)
1) Apple appreciate Futurama as a good but not the best TV-show enjoyable on both macs and Windows.
2) Apple buys Futurama.
3) Apple make Futurama only enjoyable on macs.
4) Apple make Futurama as good or better than all other shows viewable on macs.
5) Apple hope having Futurama on macs only will be a good reason enough for Windows users to become switchers.
(6) Most other third-party cross-platform shows end up losing their mac viewers and all mac only shows stop producing new material.)

Its funny cause its true. Steve Jobs and Apple are kinda like that.
I watched the episode online and it was incredibly funny – accurately describes so many i-device drones out there to a tee. It reminds me very much of this person waiting in line for an iPad, when asked if he knew what it was his response, “I don’t know what it is, I know it is from Apple it must be cool!” – that ladies and gentleman is the reason why there is the current economic crisis on our hands and that is the reason why it is so easy to parody not only Apple but he numerous blind followers. I have to admit if I had half the charisma of Steve Jobs I know I’d be milking legions of suckers for all they’re worth.
I don’t get how mom represented Google beyond getting personal data though a free service. That’s what everyone does though so i don’t see a connection. It could have been Facebook, Microsoft, etc.
Google haven’t really created zombies to pay for services yet either so this was pretty much apple the whole way.
