Apple Computer chief executive Steve Jobs has never been keen on the concept of a tablet-based Mac but an Apple cell phone may be a completely different story, according to personal accounts from one of the company’s former higher-ups published by the UK’s Guardian on Thursday. In the meantime, some took matters into their own hands.

I really wish they would bring back the NewtonOS heavily updated. It was so awesome. The BEST pen controlled OS I have ever used.

Steve Jobs can be smart, but he can also be his worst enemy. I find it strange how he calls a RIM a niche product because it accounts for 21% of all PDA sales. And that was in 2005.

Agreed. Plus, I don’t think that a lot of people really care much about a so-called “convergence device” which would essentially be an apprentice of many & master of none.

Apple in the embedded market focus on digital player, so if Nokia is again in focus when it sells a mobile phone with mp3 player inside I think Apple will be again in focus when it’ll sell an iPod with mobile phone inside. And Apple sells iPods better than Nokia sells mobile phones, my friend!!! 🙂
And my dear friend you said RIM “accounts for 21% of all PDA sales”, and so I can think that RIM DOESN’T focus DOESN’T focus and DOESN’T focus on phones, because mobile phone market and PDA (phone) market are NOT the same!!!
