“Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 operating system has lured an increasing number of application developers since the software maker announced a partnership with Nokia.
In the four days after the Feb. 11 deal, 4 percent of new app projects started were for Windows Phone, compared with 1 percent in the previous four days.”
It is developer tools.
4 days sample time?
SERIOUSLY.
How the _fuck_ is this news?
Seriously, 4 days and 4% is not an indication of anything at all. Not saying that this deal won’t bring more developers but this is non-news and completely irrelevant.
To quote Steve Ballmer — this is a rounding error.
And half of them are developing `April`s Fools` joke apps to publish in a month`s time…
Wow you no news critics cant connect the dots.
If the headline read “4% increase in new Meego in one day after new alliance..” it would have gotton a lot of thumbs up right now.
Your “no news” whining is just Anti Microsoft trolling in my view. It’s not even a feature acticle it’s a left hand snippet.
Gladly OSnews also post “unpopular news”
*Left hand* snippet ? Can you see through the back of your screen ? I’m jealous
Seriously, I agree that it’s sad how much invoking a big company’s actions can sometimes result in violent reactions…

It may be a left hand snippet, but it still appears in my feeds †there is no disambiguation between major and minor stories.
This 4% quoted doesn’t explain how its judged. Registrations on sourceforge? new domain registers? Emails?
Heck, it could be related to the 4 days covering a weekend. A bare minimum statistical sample imo would be a week.
If you honestly believe this is Antiâ€Microsoft trolling, then I see there is little point in commenting to improve the standard of articles promoted.
Its pretty selfish to impose your personal view of what is news worthy upon others.
I follow a lot of technology sites. You know what I do when I dont find something interesting. Skip it. With some sites I do that alot but I will never post “f#$K is this news?”.
Anyway this post relates to OSnews’s current news items. Your critisism is fail.
