NewMobileComputing reports: “Danger made available their HipTop/Sidekick SDK free of charge. Also, latest reports say that the new version of HipTop will feature a color screen.” Please note that the OSNews web site supports the “Danger Device” (a nickname ex-Be/Danger engineers gave early on to HipTop/SideKick), so no ads or vertical bars will be displayed, making the browsing experience pretty good with its native web browser.
Browsing the boards at DangerInfo.com, there appears to be a whole lot more that this little device is capable of. I can’t wait for thew next software upgrade too see what they have in mind. Heh – color is just the start!
*this posted while I wait to give blod using my Sidekick – and thanks for the portal, Eugenia. It makes browsing an even better experience!
How about an RSS feed with just the headlines?

Funny, what actually happened (typical Danger) is that the *press release* stating the release of the SDK came out on Monday, but the actual SDK wasn’t available til the end of the week. developer.danger.com just had an “under construction” message up. There is long-awaited new software in the SDK (like ssh) but there is no way to transfer it to the Hiptop. So, basically, the waiting game begins again…
