Why not? At least the Linux folks can finally break the umbilical cord with Windows once and for all!
OK perhaps games don’t run as well in wine as they would running directly in Linux but games running in wine is better than no games at all. Until every game gets a Linux version wine is an essential on any Linux box!
Yipee. I can now play Half Life under Linux. However, will Transgaming’s distro also let me run Office 97 and Quicken 2000 without any problems? There’s a couple other financial research apps for Windows I’d be interested in getting to work under Linux. My thought is that anything that can handle complex video games should be able to handle more mundane apps with relative ease. Maybe the upcoming Lindows would be more suitable for regular apps? Any thoughts?

yes it can run apps Trangaming are just focused on games as opposed to the windows API’s like the original wine.
