It’s a sad reality that a lot of the pioneers of our industry are reaching the point where they have led full lives. It’s nice to think that their contributions will leave behind a legacy that many will continue to embrace and enjoy well into the future. 2023-08-07 9:07 am drcouzelis Vim is my text editor of choice! At home, at work, and on my phone. 😀 It feels so strange every time I’m reminded that the computer and video game industry is still so young that many prominent people are still alive today. 2023-08-07 12:40 pm sukru Don’t know what to say. Vim has been my favorite for decades, and when forced to use another tool, I can’t function well without at least some vim emulation. Sad to see one more go. 2023-08-07 5:35 pm notwl Bram was on my list of people who have created stuff that I like and use, that I want to personally buy a drink for if I ever met them at a conference or got around to visiting where they live. It’s no longer possible to directly thank him for vim, so now I definitely must help poor children in Uganda.
