Seamonkey 1.0.4 has been released too, containing the same fix.
Opera 9.01 has also been released, but it contains different fixes.
Let’s hope firefox 1.5.0.7 will be a bigger one
These updates are coming almost as fast as IE updates
But there are less critical than IE ones…
It depends, firefox ahs had it’s share of critical updates
Debatable really.
not a good sign
Firefox fixes tend to arrive before exploits are found in the wild, whereas IE fixes tend to arrive after the fact.
I see this as a VERY good sign. 🙂
Keep those timely patches coming, boys!
AFAIK this one is non-security-related. It’s just that Firefox was blocking Windows Media content that used the MMS protocol.

Bookmarks tooltip with mouseover doesn’t show URL.
Stupid.
Now that these guys are making big money some of us are going to be more critical.
Sadly, I fear your criticism will weigh much less now, as the development funds increase, where before it was more likely to be vice versa. Money has a tendency to dictate everything, but hopefully Mozilla will be the exception and not the rule.

Looks like they’ve been working on it:

Also, tooltips with url show up for bookmarks when you hover over the Bookmarks Toolbar.
Lastly, you can add configurable tooltips to the Bookmarks Sidebar by using this extension:

Edit: The 1.5.6 update worked flawlessly for me.

I thought the blocking of windows media content was a feature
FF really screwed up after the update.
I had about 10-20 tabs open.
I will redownload to see if that helps.
Axord.
Will try.
FF is still screwed up with this update.
Not using until the next update.
Eric, have you tired the standard diagnostic steps yet?

Nuking the profile has almost always been the solution to my problems in the past.
I will try.
thanks.
