Kudos to groklaw. 2004-11-29 3:32 pm The groklaw site seems to be out of touch… 2004-11-29 5:36 pm big kudos to dburns for this, I’m surprised there haven’t been more comments…guess everyone’s trying to figure out what it means. 2004-11-29 6:57 pm No doubt. Is there a lawyer in the house to translate this? 2004-11-30 1:50 am What are you going on about? I’m no lawyer, but the settlement was pretty much in plain English; no hence forth, and forth with’s in there. 2004-11-30 3:26 am that doesn’t mean the implications of it are at all obvious. See groklaw’s write-up – seemingly very simple and straightforward phrases have a huge amount of weight in interpretation. This is the general problem with legal documents, unless you know all the context it’s like seeing the top of a glacier above the waves – hey, it’s a simple little small thing! 2004-11-30 11:57 am In particular, I’d be interested to know which part of this document had SCO, at one time, threatening to reopen the case against BSD?
