Why make such a childish post? Twenty months of nonsupport for AIGLX may not be "never". But it is certainly excessive enough to make reasonable people wonder if it was *ever* going to happen. I had more or less given up on it, even if I didn't post about it.
And in a very real sense, it was not ATi "stepping up to the plate". It was AMD. Furthermore, as a customer, I can tell you in no uncertain terms that they have not given me what I wanted. What I wanted was AIGLX support in a reasonable amount of time. What I got was AIGLX support after an insanely long wait. Those are two different things.
Time for the naysayers to eat crow
Wtf has eating crow with that?
And on the other side, great for AMD. Even if the children I don't have became adults while I was waiting for this to happen.
Anyways, it is of no relevance for me. If you'd read my posts history, you'd see I care about free way more than about better. But as soon as open drivers hit the road (and maybe few reviewers to test them), AMD gained customer in me and Nvidia already lost me to Intel. Basic 3d is all I need.

...saying that ATi would never have aiglx support despite many of us saying they would.
Mmmm, ain't that crow tasty?
Good on you ATi for stepping up to the plate and delivering what your customers want.
