Three reviews of Mac OS X Leopard, to be released coming Friday. David Pogue writes: "Leopard is powerful, polished and carefully conceived. Happy surprises, and very few disappointments, lie around every corner. This Leopard has more than 300 new spots - and most of them are bright ones." Walt Mossberg concludes: "Leopard isn't a must-have for current Mac owners, but it adds a lot of value. For new Mac buyers, it makes switching even more attractive." Edward C. Baig of USA Today writes: "With Leopard, Apple's operating system widens its lead aesthetically and technologically. Bunch a Apple fan boys reviewing again. Maybe it's accident that these same people praised iPhone like hell before any real review came up and now they review Leopard as first. After reading what crap Mossberg said about iPhone and what reality turned out I don't think anyone should take this guy serious. Same goes for David Pogue too. Lets wait few days before real reviews hit the internet.

How is the iPhone not what it is?
Apple offered a prodct as it is, and people bought it. The reviewers were actually not that full of praise, all of them pointed out massive ommissions like no video capture, no MMS &c.
It's the hackers that complained because the iPhone wasn't what they want; but then I don't go trolling the Internets just because I can't freely choose to change the OS on the Wii and other closed systems.
I think, frankly, that you are trying to place your own frustrations into the mouths of these reviewers, rather than giving them the benefit of their own objectiveness. I though Mossberg's review was straightforward and mostly unbiased in the same way that no review made on [Apple] supplied demonstration hardware is unbiased.

And what exactly about the iPhone were they wrong about. NOTHING! Just because you can't figure it anyway that you want to does not mean that they reviews were wrong or bad. Be specific next time.

I'm confident that Leopard is a quality product (though I would wait for the 10.5.1 release), but there is some truth in what you say regarding Mossberg and Pogue. Those that trash Thurott for being biased when he reviews Microsoft products should regard Mossberg and Pogue with the same skepticism regarding their reviews of Apple products.
Anyway, Leopard might entice me to finally upgrade my 5-year old PowerBook to its modern-day intel descendant. Then again, I *just* upgraded from Panther 10.3.8 to 10.3.9 yesterday, having ignored Software Update's notifications regarding 10.3.9 for over two years or so. :p So I'm pretty slow when it comes to updating anything, be it software or hardware.

Real reviews? like from the anti mac crowd? (like from OSNEWS?!) what every.... any buddy using the term "fan bois" or "Fan Boys" really just should be ignored because they are usually just a proponent of the other OSs... and are NOT objective AT ALL!
look... if you are happy with what you are using... continue using it. if you are not... get something different! there ARE choices out there!
I am confident Leopard will be a solid upgrade for $129 buck! 10.5.0 will have some silly bugs... and apple will fix most of them pretty quick! will it be perfect? No... of course not! But SOLID regardless!!!

A Linux distribution, sure, but with some very refreshing ideas about system configuration.
Google added, among other features, C/C++ support to its new version of AIDE. From Android-IDE, "Now you can write parts of your app or your whole app in C/C++ on your device. AIDE supports the Standard Android NDK toolchain (GCC 4.6 + Bionic, STL, ...). No changes are necessary if you want to build an app developed on a PC with Eclipse. C/C++ development is fully integrated: Build errors appear in the error list and files can easily be navigated to with Go to file. The editor supports C/C++ syntax highlighting."
Ars nails it: "The answer is that Google did announce what amounts to a fairly substantial Android update yesterday. They simply did it without adding to the update fragmentation problems that continue to plague the platform. Wow."During its Keynote today, Google announced new features coming to its flagship search function - you know, that thing we all started using Google for. VP Amit Singhal spent some time discussing what Google's search functionality will eventually morph into. Google's strategy is summarized by three words: answer, converse, and anticipate. Singhal explained that many of the pieces of these upcoming changes can already be seen in products that Google has recently introduced - namely, Google Knowledge Graph and Google Now, with perhaps a splash of Google Glass, too." I hold on to my hat every time Google changes Search. It's such a vital product in my daily life.
