The common user can't run Windows any better than they can run Linux. My sister's entire business is cleaning all the crap off people's Windows computers. It doesn't matter how good they think they are, they always end up with viruses and spyware on their systems. Your theory also is rejected by the sales figures of netbooks, which are 30% linux. Why do you think Dell is now moving Linux onto all its systems as an option? Yeah, NOBODY wants linux. You just keep telling yourself that and someday maybe it will come true.

The 40+ MILLION people that had to _CHOOSE_ DESKTOP Linux says a lot more than the 900+ million that had windows forced upon them.
