google use many opensource technology but their contribution are low

i think sun, ibm contribute a lot more

Very true.

Sun's Open Office alone adds up to more code contributed than most companies.

Then add in Open Solaris and Java.

Sun also contributes to many projects like Mozilla and GNOME.
