As long as you don't specify what in the software compilation that performs "like a dog", then yes, your experience is entirely worthless. The only thing I can think of in the "general experience" of KDE that doesn't perform well, is resizing windows. It certainly is a negative point, but you probably spend far more time bitching about KDE than resizing windows on an average day.
