PDAs, Cellphones, Wireless "Nokia is set to market their first Windows Phone 8 hardware differently, according to a report by the Financial Times. The manufacturer will be entering into partnerships with a handful of EU carriers to exclusively launch their next generation Windows Phone. The newspaper states the company has already entered into talks with a number of operators including France Telecom." Not to be a spoilsport or anything, but doesn't carrier exclusivity kind of rely on people actually, you know, desperately wanting a certain device? It's like Nokia's executives live in this fairytale land where people are actually buying Lumias and plan their actions accordingly. It's uncanny.

*sigh*

What I'm telling you is that:

1. Most regular desktop users will _never_ have to touch the cli.
2. Most regular desktop users have dificulty with _any_ problem or issue, no matter how simple and no matter which OS it's on.

How hard is that for you to understand?

Yes but in Linux if there is a problem 99 times out of a 100 it needs to be fix with a set of terminal commands.

If you are denying this, then as far as I am concerned you are an idiot.

First of all, calling me an idiot is out of line and gets you nowhere.

Second of all, I never said power users never will or have to go to the cli in Linux, I said most _regular_ desktop users will never have to touch the cli, if they are using a distribution like Ubuntu and use it for what it is intended.

But hey, if you aren't even gonna bother reading my posts (you just "skim" through them, remember?), why are we having this discussion?

I'm done, thanks for playing.

I didn't call you an idiot, I said if you believe that you are an idiot.

I didn't say power users, you said it any OS would cause problems with those that are less tech savvy.

I said supporting an OS that is more difficult when problems have to be fixed via the CLI.

Anyway, it not my fault you can't think critically, I guess that is why you are on support in the first place.
