I only briefly used Ubuntu, mainly around 2008 if I remember right. That's around the time the OS finally got decent, its quality peaked, and then Canonical started selling out and began going down the path of turning the OS to complete garbage. All in rapid-fire succession.
This is not really news by now; it's just the same old shit, different day. A new (increasingly bad) release for a new year... that's about all there is new here, and given that this combination of events has been happening every two releases now, even it's not all that special.
