They’re a company trying to make money, just like any other company that has people they employ that need to survive from their work. There’s no legal or ethical reason why they should or must be open source if they put out a document for their API. Everyone who has an API and wishes to tell people what it’s like would be wise to document it and have that document available for download and/or distribution: that’s good business sense. Your whole comment reeks of that of a troll.
