A blog found on the f-secure.com site reveals rumors of Windows XP SP3. The small message on the blog reads this: Windows XP could be released before Longhorn. There is also mention of the new Internet Explorer 7. You can read the story here.
I would rather get a nice enhancement pack for the XP OS rather than an all new Longhorn bloated OS with DRM and big brother is watching you technologies implemented in it. MS bring the SP3 on! I just hope it is a good security as well as a performance enchancement. My machine definitely didnt slow down after SP2 i can tell you. Benches and everything reported a slight increase actually.
I think longhorn will performe better since it’s been basicaly re-writen from the ground up for the most part. New kernel and so on should bring better multimedia performence.
SP3 shouldn’t be anything big aside from security and patches.
“Anti-phishing technology.” Is that like “NT Technology?” .
Hold on!
I thought “Longhorn” WAS “Windows XP SP3”? Eg. like WindowsME was to Windows98.
You were wrong. Also your example was wrong.

“DRM” (as you wrote it) won’t be in Longhorn… Read! Read! Read!
