It’s the autumn release season, and new devices running Windows Mobile 5.0 have begun to hit the market. BargainPDA brings you a hands-on, in-depth look at the next-generation OS. The n300 series of PPCs from Acer are among the first to run Windows Mobile 5.0, sporting VGA resolution displays, SDIO capable expansion slots, Bluetooth 1.2 and more. In the meantime, the Mitac Mio phone with GPS was officially announced today. Additionally, the Dell Axim x51v specs and pics leaked recently (review).
Nice review, tells it like it is.
Makes you wonder what on earth Microsoft have been doing over the last 2 years.
So you don’t lose data anymore when the battery dies… My Sony P800, 900 and 910 (beautiful phone BTW) has been doing that for years.
Between these 3 sites / forums, you’ll figure out how to install TomTom5 (requires some manual steps), with working backlight.

Good luck!
Can someone tell me what the North American ETA is for the Mitac Mio A701? I want to buy one the same day it’s released in N.A. (assuming, of course, that it will work with Telus or Rogers). I’m just that excited!
The Mitac devices usually only ship in Europe and Asia. I don’t think they have any plans for US/Canada, however if your network is GSM, you should be able to buy the British version from a UK store by the end of the year.
Limecat is not pleased.
But it depends ont he dimensions of the Mitac Mito A701. Anyone know the exact size ?
