Following rumour and speculation over the future of RISC OS 4, RISCOS Ltd’s managing director today poured scorn on ‘every rumour and piece of misinformation that comes up on the Internet’. In a frank email he told Select subscribers today: “Some people have a habit of starting rumours that can upset many other people’s views of how the market is progressing. Negative rumours, especially when they are unfounded, can have a tremendous effect on the market, so please treat anything you hear or read with caution unless it is fully verified.”
Middleton Battles ‘Misinformation’

I can’t even ping http://www.drobe.co.uk, much less view the page. And ‘host http://www.drobe.co.uk‘ says it is an alias for g0tai.mine.nu. I wonder if I’m having difficulty with the .nu domain.
It’s well documented that rumors proliferate only in a vacuum of information. False facts are passed through people who don’t know better, which means that the correct information isn’t getting to them in order for them to judge what is true and what isn’t, which leaves them only with the option of “plausible.” I can’t get to the site right now but if mystery isn’t dispelled, history tells us people will make up their own meanings. Telling them not to do this is pointless and ignorant.
yeah, i’ve had problems getting to the site since they moved hosts:
