IceWM, the venerable X11 window manager, has put up a new maintenance release, version 4.1.0. It’s got a small number of fixes, two very minor new features, as well a few updated translations. That’s it.

Not quite the update i was hoping for, i would like to get to lower the window by right clicking the titlebar (like in BeOS). It is currently possible IF i also use a modifier key.
~/.icewm/preferences
MouseWinLower=”Alt+Pointer_Button1″
OR
key “Alt+Pointer_Button3” icesh -f lower
I hoped to be able to get rid of the modifier key, but perhaps in the next release.
Have you asked for the feature in an issue? That’s probably the fastest way to get a response from them on it.
Haven’t posted anything since i first requested it in decades ago. Perhaps they just forgot.
The ICEwm people are awfully nice persons.
Or that perhaps my own experience over the last decades on IRC spilling over.
It might be worth asking again, it should be fairly simple to implement as a preferences file flag since you can already do it with a modifier key.
