Version 2.0.6 of the GTK+ widget toolkit and associated libraries (GLib, Pango, and ATK) is now available. This is a bug-fix release. Announcements for GTK+ and GLib. Update: On a related note, GTK# 0.3 was released only a few days ago.
however, it would be a great way for Ximian to make money since there are tons of GTK + developers that hate the crappy documentation….sell some docs for 20 bucks or something
Well, i personally stil use gtk+-1.2 because of the lack of documentation about the 2.0 version of this lib. I have a book which explain all the stuff i need, but iirc, there is no book that covers gtk+-2.0… Look at Trolltech and Qt, all the stuff you need is available on their website. Not in downloadable format but it is a precious data base. That’s what should do the gtk team. Good documentation is very important, more than a good code (it’s my opinion though)…
they need to have better documentation….why does Ximian not do that and then they can bundle that into a developer version of there DTE.
to do with gtk. redhat has more people working on gtk than ximian does, iirc

Ximian would get flamed to death if they would produce proprietory documentation. =)
But maybe packing all the nice free documentation together and selling it as a fine book would be nice.
I don’t think the online documentation is that bad btw. Some parts might be missing still.
yay for gtk+ of the week.
