so he simply installs servers. That is a perfect setup? It would be interesting to see how he is securing specific services, tuning tcp, and so on. Otherwise this is a perfect setup for home LAN behind firewall to learn basics.
I was really impressed that centos actuall installed on my ancient rabid linux hating dell latitude C640. Very nice desktop too.
centos4 nothing like old outdated packages and 3rd party repositories that make your centos into fedora installs…
It’s a great read for people who install Fedora Core and CentOS. There’s not a whole lot of documentation on using many of the FC and CentOS packages so a HOWTO like this definitely helps.
