The first thing I did when I got my eee was replace the Xandros install with ubuntu-eee (now known as Easy Peasy) mostly because I wanted to get OpenOffice 3 and Firefox 3 since they run so much faster.
There were plenty of other benefits as well, but the biggest was being up to date.
I really dig the ubuntu netbook remix desktop too!

REBOOT!? The only time you have to reboot your linux is when changing hardware or kernel!!!
