Someone at Nokia has leaked information about the plans to ship Maemo phones, eventual interest in replacing S60 with Maemo, etc. The same article links to a screesnhot of the future Qt-based “Harmattan” platform. It has not been confirmed whether the screenshot is real or not.
I just love the calendars in smartphones, those are real life savers, no, Im not being sarcastic, I have a very volatile memory.
The fact that they are waiting till mid 1020 makes me think they are working in the developer tools and an online store, but this gives another year to the Android platform the setle down in the consumers choice.
1010, more like ;-).
Don’t discount the finger-optimized “Fremantle” platform that quickly.
Here’s a screencast of someone using the “modest” email client in Fremantle beta SDK (this is out already, in public – interestingly, most journalists seem to have missed this little detail).

You mean, 2010.
Just a quick note to correct a little mistake in this article. It is nowhere written that it will be Qt-based, what we can read is :
“Beyond that it would bring support for the Qt development framework that Nokia acquired in 2008”
So yeah, Qt will be part of the SDK, but I would be very surprised if they would drop all their GObject/Gtk based plateform after so many years of work on it. Also, I presume Clutter is staying too…
Check out this google translation of Finnish “Tietoviikko” article about the same thing:

All of this is speculation until confirmed by Nokia, of course.
They seem to be doing this (replacing existing system Avkon with Qt) on Symbian:
