but one thing i don’t seem to find on their site is:
does it need a runtime to work on the different OS’s or does it compile for a certain os
and if it’s a runtime, how free is it (if one has to pay licenses for each client, it’s unrealistic)
From their site: “Royalty-free distribution” “Standalone single-file applications” “Correct, native appearance and behavior for all platforms – including OS X/Aqua” “Drag-and-drop user interface builder” “Write once, run anywhere – the promise broken by other development tools is now a reality with Revolution”
From their website…
“Distribute applications to your customers as a single file – no runtime needed!”
There are checkboxes for the different platforms you want to compile for.
I’m getting the impression this is really a Hypercard like env, esp since it mentions SuperCard import.
Never hear much about that sort of thing anymore where Joe Smiths are encouraged to build something. Kind of miss those days even though I’d never use it myself. What became of Bill Atkinson?, he turned to photography!
JJ, Take a look at ‘Squeak’ as well.
I do miss hypercard though..
does ist support code completion ?
