I don’t speak any form of chinese but I would be surprised if simplified and traditional can be counted as one
Judging by the screenshots – no. Absolutely average-ish – sure.
Don’t forget the cool multimedia extras. But yeah, apart from that I do suspect it is entirely average.
Of course, because the best way to judge a desktop is to look at a couple of screenshots.
If you read the “Conclusion” section of the article, it sounds like your standard Linux distribution: Working, but flaky and needing a knowledgable hand to fix. The final rating was 2 of 5 stars.
The best luck I’ve had getting things working out of the box has been with Xandros, followed by JAMD.
Other distrobutions like Linspire also offer DVD playback so I’m surprised this is a notable feature for this distribution. No bootsplash seems like an odd choice to me as well. A desktop OS should seem polished for the end user and it looks like this distro has some work yet to do. Plus, it seems kind of expensive for what you’re getting. I think, as desktop linux os’s go, I’ll stick with Linspire.

The reason that it is a notable feature is that it is LEGAL DVD playback. Unless I’m mistaken, no other distros have this feature. I agree, though that it isnt exactly a killer-app since existing not-100%-legal players are better and have more features.
The Linspire DVD player is a software multimedia player that includes legal, licensed commercial-quality codecs and auto-detection of DVDs to enhance the DVD playback experience under Linspire 4.5 and higher.
Where is this coming from? The bundle received a score of 2 / 5. That doesn’t sound so great to me.

its legal everywhere that software patents are not in effect. that for your info is the majority. so its legal for a lot of people. there exists a world outside US and Europe now you know?
