I wish Mandrakesoft great luck in this endeavor, I love their disrto! Been using Power Pack editions since 8.1, before that the community edition.
As for distributions you can consider fiasco’s, as for now I can only recall 2. And one looks like it lives on. And both are cases of really bad management. The Corel distribution actually lives on under different flags. That only leaves Caldera as outright fiasco.
Although I am a Mac user by trade, I have always loved Mandrake’s offerings. I wish them the best of luck in their endeavor.
When I have to run a PC, it is Mandrake or bust, in my opinion.
i wish them liuck but at the end of the day Redhat an IBM an Novell Hold to much of a majority in the US Linux Server Market,
Being a Mac user doesn’t preclude you from using Mandrake Linux. I believe both PPC and x86 versions are at equal version numbers.
Boeing Aircraft’s computing divisions are considering Mandrake 10.x as a desktop replacement.

Well, I wish them good luck! Although I’m a “M$ Fanboy” LOL,
I’ve used Mdk 9.1 for 3 months as my one and only desktop OS, and that was not too bad, honestly. But then I got back to Windows and still use 2000/XP on my desktop happily
Mandrake 10.1 is a great desktop distribution!
The administration tools is one of the better tools.
