A server service pack released to allow the whole world to do the testing that the 75+ testers m$ used to have would have done (they were fired just before christmas from memory).
Now that is progress!
Remember: Windows was designed by professionals, Linux is just a buzz word 😉
They’re just testing out a very importent Service Pack for their top Server OS, which is used in critical areas… It’s better to have a whide open beta for something this importent, then test it internally then release something that might not work right or break peoples server configurations.
What’s so strange or funny about this? When you’re changing core parts of the OS and how they work with apps most times some app won’t work right. This is just normal, and you test for it.
The more people testing something the better it is, 75+ internal testers or whatever, can’t find everything, and you do have a deadline to meet. This is a smart idea, and is normal.
How can you release a “release candidate” for a service pack?
I dont get it.
Service Packs are entire products it seems.
i think they need to check out if the service pack is breaking already fully functional systems or not!!
