last time i checked there were 50 states in the Union whether or not Massachusetts adopt ODF is of little significance. It woill most likely just cause problems between document transfers between states. In other words a larger program of adoption would be significant.

Very big problems brewing with this whole idea…. Wait until the federal government and other states tell them they won’t accept their documents submitted in ODF format.

I’m not sure that this is a problem. The ODF file format is for archiving data for the state executive branch. It isn’t mandated that Massachussetts must send out documents to the feds or anyone else in a format that they won’t accept.
