but: it’s a nice technology. versioning is hot these days. doesn’t windows 2003 support multiple older files on a shared file folder?
Win Server 2K3 has Volume Shadow Copy Services (VSS), see:

All of this stuff is similar to NetApp snapshots, if you have ever used a filer in a NAS/SAN environment. Cool stuff!
Indeed, nice technology, but Novell Netware has this kind of versioning a very long time.

I’m working on a project that will integrate a number of features on top of a filesystem, including but not limited to: version control (like cvs), data redundacy (automatic backups and archiving), compression, and meta data search capabilities.

Installed vitalfile on a fully patched w2k+SP4.Got a blue screen after the next boot.Some errors ok,but i couldn’t even work with it.
