Xfce The Xfce development team is pleased to announce that the second and hopefully last release candidate of the upcoming Xfce 4.4 desktop is available for download now. I don't see how that can possibly be true. Adding more integrated components means more to load, bigger file sizes, more RAM usage, etc.

Yeah, but it's not really adding integrated components. They're adding applications that if you don't run them, just use up a little disk space.
