BSD and Darwin derivatives FreeSBIE 2.0-RELEASE has been released. "FreeSBIE 2.0-RELEASE (codename Clint Eastwood) is based on the fresh FreeBSD 6.2-RELEASE, both in terms of sources and of packages. It contains more than 450 pieces and 1,3 gigabytes of software, all in a single CD-ROM of 668 megabytes."

Did you login as root or use the standard autologin user? I don't know if this user is UID 0. To be sure, use su. Should not be a problem then.

% su -
# /stand/sysinstall

Otherwise, try the "old fashioned" method to test:

# moused -d -f -p /dev/cuaa0 -t auto

Use /dev/psm0 for a PS/2 mouse or /dev/ums0 for an USB mouse. Be sure to specify the correct mouse type (see man moused for a list). By the way, USB mice should be autodetected and automatically setup via usbd.
