I called up Microsoft, and they said this is a feature designed to lower media piracy by about 40-50%. They also mentioned that TCP/IP is an acronym for Trusted Consumer Platform for Intellectual Property.
Hey, yesterday I played the Microsoft apologist, so today I get to have fun.

I found the network performance (1G bandwidth, SMB file copy) under Vista is about 40%~50% lower that that of XP. I am not sure it's a NIC driver problem or the new TCP/IP Stack problem. Maybe Both?
