Windows ITWire: "Linux users can, at times, be the worst kind of ingrates, whining and complaining about what they perceive as missing features in a free operating system. My advice to all such whingers: spend 10 days using the latest version of Windows and you'll realise that you are living in a world of relative bliss."

Oh, and another thing: You may delude yourself into thinking that "popularity" is important to these people, but they will never BE popular, because they don't fit into the fashion-following, mind-extracting, Paris-Hilton-worshipping numbness of "popular" people and couldn't if they tried. So they prefer to see the world as it REALLY is, rather than as how the majority of people pretend to see it (until the wind changes). And it's thanks to "pains in the arse" like that, that people who think Paris Hilton is Da Bomb can get on with their meaningless little lives in freedom instead of under some such slogan as "Arbeit Macht Frei". But hey, what do I know? Go and read a Paul Graham essay on the subject. He's so much more articulate than I am that it might even sink in a bit.
