Multimedia, AV Dirac is an advanced royalty-free video compression format designed for a wide range of uses, from delivering low-resolution web content to broadcasting HD and beyond, to near-lossless studio editing. The v1.0.0 version was released yesterday, and the new VLC version supports playback of .ts/.drc Dirac files.

Gee, if only I didn't have to install a different OS just to use a program. If only developers gave more thought to making things modular/pluggable and cross-OS/distro, this kind of crap wouldn't exist.

if there weren't a million different linux distributions you might had it your way.

the ability to choose leaves you ironically with nothing.
